Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to common questions about the Red Rose Foundation and our programs

How can someone access the emergency shelter services?
Our Rose House emergency shelter can be accessed by calling our 24/7 hotline at (555) 123-ROSE. Our trained staff will conduct a brief assessment to ensure we can meet your needs and discuss next steps for admission. All services are completely confidential.
What types of programs do you offer for children?
Our Little Buds program provides age-appropriate counseling, art therapy, play therapy, and mentorship for children affected by trauma. We also offer support groups for teens and tutoring services to help children stay on track academically during difficult transitions.
How is the Red Rose Foundation funded?
We are funded through a combination of private donations, grants, corporate partnerships, and revenue from our Red Rose Resale social enterprise. Approximately 85% of every dollar donated goes directly to program services, with the remainder supporting operational costs.
Do you provide legal assistance for domestic violence situations?
While we don't have in-house attorneys, we partner with legal aid organizations and pro bono lawyers who provide assistance with protection orders, custody matters, and other legal needs. Our advocates can help you navigate the legal system and connect you with appropriate resources.
How can I volunteer with your organization?
We welcome volunteers in various capacities! Opportunities include mentoring, assisting at our resale shop, helping with events, providing administrative support, and more. All volunteers complete an application process and background check, followed by training specific to their role.
What makes your approach to empowerment unique?
Our Bloom After Trauma program uses a holistic, trauma-informed approach that addresses not just immediate needs but long-term growth. We combine practical skills training with therapeutic support, recognizing that healing and empowerment are interconnected processes.
How long can someone stay in your emergency shelter?
The typical stay in our emergency shelter is 30-60 days, depending on individual circumstances and needs. During this time, we work with residents to develop a personalized transition plan that may include moving to transitional housing, securing permanent housing, or other appropriate options.
